birth doula service

A birth doula package encompasses care throughout pregnancy and beyond. Including hands-on support during labour and birth, followed by postpartum care.

prenatal care

  • Imagine it's 2 AM and you're wide awake, typing your worries into Google, feeling alone in your concerns. What if, instead of endless scrolling, you could simply text your doula?

    As your birth doula, I'm here to provide accurate information, personalized education, and compassionate emotional support during this transformative and often vulnerable time. You deserve reliable guidance to help you confidently make the best decisions for your unique journey.

    My pregnancy support includes:

    • Instant Access to Your Birth Bestie: Text and call support begin from the moment you book with me. Ensuring you always have a trusted resource.

    • Access to Community Resource List: Anything from prenatal education classes, chiro, pelvic floor physio’s. Whatever you need, I’ll recomend the best or research on your behalf.

    • Two In-Person Prenatal Visits: Designed to thoroughly prepare you, and your partner, physically and emotionally for birth.

      • Review various comfort techniques and birthing positions.

      • Educate and encourage your partner in their supportive role.

      • Develop a personalized birth plan.

      • Push prep, learn positions and understand anatomy.

      • Emotionally prepare for the “what if’s” make birth plans B and C to help anticipate the unexpected.

      • Postpartum prep and check-in, offering ideas and insight.

    • Access to Sweet Peace Doula Worksheets & Lending Library: Includes a birth planning guide and other currated documents.

Labour & birth

  • When the big day arrives, you don't have to navigate it alone. Whether you choose to birth at home or in the hospital, I'll be there to provide continuous, unwavering support, ensuring you feel empowered and cared for every step of the way. My goal is to help you have the most positive and supported birth experience possible.

    My in-person labor and birth support includes:

    • Responsive and immediate presence: I'll join you at your home or the hospital the moment you feel you need me – there's no specific "stage" of labor required.

    • Active labor support: I'll provide continuous hands-on support during labor, whether you're at home prior to the hospital or getting your space at home ready.

    • Uninterrupted hands-on care: From the moment I arrive until your baby is in your arms, I'll be by your side, offering comfort measures, encouragement, and practical support.

    • Immediate postpartum care: For up to two hours after birth, I stay and help with the practical things of transitioning from labour to baby being born. Things like your victory meal, planning for the night ahead, helping you shower.

    • Initial feeding assistance: I'll offer hands-on help with your baby's first latch or support you with your chosen alternative feeding plan.

    • Seamless C-section support: If an unplanned C-section becomes part of your story. I'll stay and be there to help set up your room, assist with initial bonding, and ensure you're completely comfortable before saying goodbye.

postpartum

  • The journey doesn't end with birth – it's just the beginning of a beautiful, yet often overwhelming, new chapter. As your doula, my support extends into your postpartum period, providing you with practical assistance and reliable information you need to confidently navigate this new begining.

    My postpartum support includes:

    • One Postpartum Visit: A 2 hour in-person postpartum visit which includes the following…

    • Birth Story Debrief & Processing: Dedicated time to gently review your birth experience, helping you process the events, celebrate your strength, and find closure.

    • Practical Home Support (as time allows): I offer practical assistance like light tidying, folding laundry, washing dishes, or helping with basic baby care, allowing you precious time for rest and bonding.

    • Opportunity for Protected Rest: I prioritize creating space for you to rest deeply, knowing that your baby is being cared for.

    • Safe Babywearing Review: Guidance on proper and safe babywearing techniques.

    • Expanded Community Resource List: Continued access to a curated list of local community resources in Abbotsford and surrounding areas, including lactation consultants, support groups, counselling.

    • Ongoing Text and Call Support: Accessible text and phone support for up to 30 days after your baby's birthday, take advantage of this!

PACKAGE & price

  • The perfect package.

    Everything listed above is included. This package is the meat n’potatoes. As in it’ll offer you everything necessary to get the ultimate birth doula experience. Providing you with personalized care from an experienced doula.

    Includes one follow up postpartum visit to debrief the birth. To be booked within 2 week after baby is born.  As well as access to call and txt support for up to a month postpartum.
